chaoscraig - There is no alcohol consumption in the store. We do not have any licenses for such. so no drinking IN the store. ;D Also we reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if they are being too inebriated to control themselves. @calypso - Having participated in all these events before, its actually part of the interaction to run the paperwork. Since you will have 3 players taking their turns when you are not the active player, usually we "punished" the person who drew 1st turn each round to do scoring for that round (since he would be sitting out the longest each round without having a move) and it worked quite well. In later turns usually whomever has the smallest force or gets tabled takes up the scoring so others can concentrate. It wasn't a problem at all for us.

Added the final rules to the original post at the top. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

What happens with special characters who give the ability to get pluses for going first and or picking their side? Do we let the person get to go 1 slot better than they drew a card for, or is there some other way we can incorporate them getting something out of that ability?

for the tau if you would normally kill an ethereals you get an extra VP. Just curious if that VP counts toward your total for the 3 rounds in order to get first blood AND the extra VP?

Modified First Blood is based upon who has the most kill points at the end of round 3. Since killing an ethereal would net 1 kill point and the codex rules state that killing a ethereal gives an extra VP then yes, you would gain an extra point.

Phil here from East Rochester, I was in the lock-in last night and I made it home safe and sound. I just wanted to tell you guys I had a great time and loved every second. Sorry if I was a bit cranky near the end, sleep deprivation can make one cranky. And I love the "cover of darkness" shot you have of me with my 'Nids and the Eldar. So I had lots of fun, and hope to see you guys next year!

Great event. I had alot of fun. Wish it didnt go until 6am but other than that it was great. The only down side for me was that my dumb self forgot to double check my army on the table with my list and forgot one more venom with warriors in it. So i played all night down an entire unit from the start. Haha, thats what I deserve for having took more than 2 of the same setup for a unit, which I try not to do.

@phil, glad you made it home. It was fun playing some games with you. The lock-in ran a little later than normal and we were all pretty tired towards the last game so don't be too hard on yourself. Keep practicing with your nids and be sure to check out battle reports on forums like dakka dakka and the Mandulian Chapel to get a feel for how units can interact with each other within your army.
@scott, done that before. Glad you still had fun. You placed real close and if it wasn't for C4 making the 7 point come back in our last turn that bumped him up to tie Craig for first then you would have grabbed 2nd place.
