I`ve finnally decided I am going the route of Khorne Daemonkin for this year, so it`s time to start painting/playing. There is a tourney next month I want to try to go to, so here is the first attempt at a list. I just spent the last week converting models and doing my new basing method.
Khorne Daemonkin ITC list
HQ D-Thirster - 275 Daemon Prince - Wings, Blood-Forged Armour - 250
Elites 3 Terminators - 3 combi melta, power fist, 2 chainfists - 150
Troops 8 Bloodletters- Champion, Banner - 105 8 Cultists - 58 10 Chaos Space Marines - 2 Meltas, Combi Melta - 190 Rhino - Combi Melta - 45
Fast Attack Spawn- 32 Spawn - 32
Heavy Support Skull Cannon - 125 Soulgrinder - Phlegm - 165
Lord Of War Khorne Knight Errant- Dirge Caster - 425
I am restricted by the fact that I dont own a helldrake, Maulerfiend or a substantial amount of flesh hounds(about 5).
I`m not sure if you can use a plastic GW knight as the forgeworld one. anyone that goes to big events, is that allowed?

I like the list especially with the bunch of models you wouldn't really see. I'm curious are there specific really rules for the list building? Like no formations or are you constricted by models?

I can field most of the formations, but if I used them, I would have to drop the terminators and the skullcannon. I didn't think the benefits were worth the restrictions

Fair enough, you don't want restrictions while running a knight and as far as I know as long as its kitted out the same I don't think a tournament staff or player will correct you on the model.

I like the list in general but I think the terminators should be pared down a bit. They are really a termicide unit and the fists in there make them a bit fat.

Yea, I'm feeling that way too. I'm thinking of switching them out for a hellbrute with lascannon and missile launcher.

Yea, I'm feeling that way too. I'm thinking of switching them out for a hellbrute with lascannon and missile launcher. I like the idea of a dual power fist Helbrute personally - or a Contemptor Dreadnought (I am not sure if KDK can take one, I know CSM can). Another really good complement to what you have would be a Maulerfiend. If anything, I think losing the Prince for the additional firepower is worth it too - but I have never been a huge DP fan. I do love the D-Thirster though. I wish they left the KDK rules the same as WD so he can take greater gifts.

My future purchases list for this is two maulerfiends, two helldrakes and about twenty flesh hounds.
And maybe a couple of those get started boxes for khorne demons.

Kdk are in a bad spot as it pertains to FW. They came out after the FW chaos book came out and they haven't faqd it to allow kdk to use the stuff. Only the knight and khorne walker thing and a few more are accessible.
I like the idea of the terminator/bloodcrusher formation using three man twin lightning claw terminators to deep strike in. With the formation special rule they would get six attacks a piece on the charge. Even one hitting a tactical squad will put up a Hell of a fight. If I leave the champion as last man I can challenge and get probably at least two blood tithe points out of the combat.not bad for 125 points a squad

I personally like the Kytan daemon engine of Khorne, its essentially Khorne's specific knight. It loses some shooting with only having one gun with 12 shots Str 8 AP 3 at BS 4 but makes up for it by having WS5 and I5. It can fight eldar titans in close combat and win with its Str D axe. It counts as being a lord of war for Kdk had the BFBG rule and 13/13/11 armor facing but is still a daemon. It does also lose the shield though but I love the model.

I'd like to get one of those and a brass scorpion.

The Kytan is a killer model, it is way bigger than I thought from the pics.
I like the blood slaughterers as well, but the scorpion is iconic khorne

Just curious, what is the skullcannon really doing for you? I don't see many things getting into combat that would really benefit from it. I believe the knight ignores terrain and your hqs are really mobile.
