Alright, now that we’ve had some time to recoup from Adepticon it’s time to lay out the plans for Parkhammer.
Who’s invited? Everyone! Let everyone know that they’re invited.
When: June 28th (the last Saturday of June) all day, w/ additional activities on Friday & Sunday if people are interested.
Where: Parkhammer will be held at the Watkins Glen State Park @ the Iroquois Lounge, up the road from last year’s event. It has a full kitchen, and it’s a bit more secluded (no tour busses letting out right in our midst. I’ll add a link to the bottom of this post with the specific directions.
What do you need to bring? Family, friends, armies, & food. Everyone should bring a dish to share, and remember we’re going to be there all day, so plan accordingly.
Events:
1 - All day War-gaming & Board-gaming
2- Painting competition: Different from last year, we have an open theme: Inquisitorial Detention Center. So, what do we want to see? Like a prison, we’re looking for a wide range of possible rooms and scenarios. You could do a prison cell (we’ll define it as a 3inch cube for uniformity), Interrogation room, Grey Knight break room, Med bay, anything really. I think that there’s a lot of potential for cool stuff.
3 - Cook Off: Mac & Cheese - Last year we did a Chili cook off, this year we’re gonna try Mac & Cheese.
4 - Swimming, hiking & camping
Additional events on Friday the 27th & Sunday the 29th:
If you’re planning to stay the weekend, I was thinking we could hit up some of the local wineries, breweries & distilleries. Depending on how many people want to come, I can arrange transportation (Bus) or we can split into carpools and have DDs.
Let me know if I forgot anything, and I hope to see everyone there.

The Iroquois Lounge is located near the camping sites in the Park. If you came last year, you’ll be taking the road west of the Pavillion we reserved last year. Follow that road past the ranger station and you’ll see your destination on the left. Here are the coordinates:
