Hey guys I just wanted to share with you the first blight drone I have done. I entered it at adepticons crystal brush but was just out-classed. I'm currently working on a few conversions using blight drones and hope to have pics up soon. I think I will Use him at the MG forgeworld tourney. Attachments:

The only thing that I see that could use some work is the skin. On the back you can see where you went a little heavy with the dark shades.
that said, it looks killer.

Overall it looks great - Adepticon crystal brush is one of the premier min painting competitions, I would be flattered to even get judged on their scale.
I also wish I had some blight drones for the Forgeworld tournament

Craig, those are looking great. I would just second what Chris said about the skin. Try a really light purple wash over the skin and then add some very light highlights to the raised area and that flesh tone will look fantastic.
I've yet to see a blight drone in person. How do they scale up against a marine sized model? Can you post a comparison pic?

They are the size of a dreadnought. I will be bringing it to the millennium tournament if I can make it... along with a conversion for a forgefiend I did with one. I definently inked it too heavy on the back. the purple ink is an interesting idea. Im going to do some more of these and will try it out.

Looks great dude. I wish more models were sculpted with texture across the entire model like that one. One suggestion I would make would be some rust or corruption on the weapon cluster either with powders or washes.
