Sports was simply a sum of the rankings your opponents gave you. The more opponents that scored you the highest gave you more points. Lower = less.

Correct. So someone like Garner, who scored a perfect 40, all of his opponents listed him as their top opponent. In the 20's is about average.

Good showing everyone! Especially Garner for the 1st in Sports, and Kevin for lending a hand.

Bill and I tied for 22nd best painted. I'm thinking if I keep the same army, keep updating painting on the models, replace my bases with something diorama like, do some freehand work/squad markings and update my display board with a crazy idea if had bouncing around in my head I might be able to break the top ten. and I'll have a year of playing the army. Who knows

Haha, nice, and thanks. It seems me and Kevin should face off, battle of the worst luck then?
Heck yeah Nogle, what kind of dioramas were you thinking? Like Betrayal ones? Issatvan? That would be really cool and with how hard white is to paint, would be over the top awesome.

I really think the secret to good sports scores is awful dice. It lets the othe rplaye rhave epic moments when they kill your Daemon Prince with an Engiseer - plus people just feel bad for you!

IDK, to me its enjoyable game play win or loss, if I had the chance to rate my last game for sportsmanship. I would have ranked him second only to the first person I played where we tied on primary. But I tend not to judge on win loss experience but personal experience.
On a side note: If you roll a hit on a barrage weapon you can place it on any previously placed markers. I everyone of my opponents argue with me on this. And all there responses where they must have changed it from 6th. when in reality it was the exact same way.

I really think the secret to good sports scores is awful dice. It lets the othe rplaye rhave epic moments when they kill your Daemon Prince with an Engiseer - plus people just feel bad for you! I wish my engineseer finished the job. Too bad nids and humans don't get along... hahaha NEIL - you are right about the barrage markers. You can place a direct hit from any previous markers. You and i have gone over this many times! All in all I think this da boyz was better than last year. I lost a lot of games, but walking the path of the nice guy was wonderful. In retrospect though I'm a bit mad at at myself for walking my opponents through how to dismantle me and undoing vehicle damage ( i let my opponent roll his serpent field saves during his turn after i had immobilized 2 off them). Those games were very entertaining though and even though the games were not in my favor, we both walked away satisfied. Big props to Ricky Johnson for the giving me the longest recorded melee i have ever had. my blob vs. 5 plague drones, 5 spawn, 10 marines, 1 sorcerer, and a GUO. By the end of turn 6, only yarrick, 5 guardsmen, a priest, and 2 plague drones were left! The only thing i really didn't like was being slow played game 1 by a guy who didn't have his codexes, rulebook, or proper wysiwyg. Also, Tony Kopach needs to read a rulebook. It's aggravating when someone who wins GT's and big events doesn't even have proper interpretations/ knowledge of the core mechanics. If I hear " trust me, i win GT's all the time. That's how the rule works" one more time...
Get ready adepticon, operation taurox storm is approaching.

Koszka, I know that's how it works but every game people would argue with me, even Andrew Goyno. Also Koszka ive been trying to get u more into the mindset of not letting people do that, in all honesty its not helping them. They wont learn to remember their rules if you let them redo these things.
IMO if you don't bring your codex/ rule book to a GT its an auto DQ. but that's just my 2 cents.
