How did the plague drones do during the event? Ricky Johnson had a unit of 5 and they were really hard for me to deal with ( That and the nurgle spawn. Wish i had some greyknight support!).
I hear you though. My worst showing at a GT, but I definitely had the best time! Even when I'm getting my ass handed to me by double daemons. hahaha

The problem is game #1 I forgot I purchased an ap2 sword for the champ (greater reward) and 3+ poison for the whole unit. I was playing against 30 GK terminators and 2 NDKs so that actually cost me the game as they spent 3 assault phases locked with 5 terminators that they should have chewed through. Game #2 I won without using them much, game #3 I didn't kill a single unit aside from a warp storm possession as my opponent spent the whole game running from me. Game #4 was against pure sisters when my dice were rolling 25% successes when I was expecting 4+s. Game 5 all 4 of my MCs got the reroll invuln reward, one DP had cursed earth, and I rolled 2 endurance. It was my 3rd game against GK during the main event and I finally plowed through them and redeemed myself. What threw me off was how differently my list played from the 1250pt B&WB version and I just don't think I had enough practice with it.

Yes.
My daemons were designed as a denial army. Some of the missions specifically punished denial armies. I could have used the ranged weapons.

Aaron didnt the rules just say you had to attempt to assault.
I sorta liked that the mission where not published though

Yup.
My opponent reserved everything and had a drop pod and single NDK arrive turn 1 as far away from my army as possible. Turn 2 another NDK arrived opposite corner. Turn 3 2 flyers arrive. My drones and beasts never had an assault target as NDKs also move 12" and can't touch flyers. I tried to get close and ended up spread so thin he picked me apart.

Yeah but i cant remember if the packet said attempt to or actually had to assault. Bc if it said attempt you could "attempt to assault the drop pod from across the table even knowing you are not it range. Unless it actually said you had to assault

Hmm don't think you can attempt an assault further than 12". Even if I could, he mowed me down with cleansing flame (ignores cover), psycannons, hvy incinerators, and flyer weapons. It was very one sided since his reserves arrived in perfect position to avoid me and I had only witchfires for shooting.

Vector strikes count as a shooting attack, so that's how my princes did things.
