My attempt at airbrushing my demo helmet, didn't let paint cure enough before I applied painters masking so it peeled off paint but not a bad metal look for my first try right? Just stripped and reprimed it for another try

Very nice, I justified my airbrush under the premise I would be able to use it for all sorts of different projects. What kind of paint did you use?

i was hoping to use it for some car repair as well on chips and nicks.

Thanks! I'm happy with it being my first try, the black and silver are just generic createx airbrush paints, the blue metallic in the front is a folk-art cheap acrylic paint, besides waiting for the base black to dry I think I'll try adding a clear in before I mask, also was a little heavy on the highlighting of the rivets and some spots on the shadowing of the sheet metal panels but its a start I may pick up createx's autoair brand I hear its much better

If you use folk art through an airbrush be careful to water it down properly. I push my paint through a metal mesh tea strainer because folk arts tend to have acrylic chunks in the fluid that can clog the tool.

Tamiya has one of the best masking tapes. If you use a cheaper tape, try to reduce some of the stickyness with your fingers. That way it will pull off less paint. Poster-tac is best for masking organic shapes.
