NOVA doesn't have sportsmanship scores, but most of my games were pretty painless. The 1k seer council player was pretty much the only one i wanted to strangle. I combination of dishonesty and cocky behavior made it poor experience.
The tau guy was actually a really nice guy and even though he kicked my dick in, we still had a lot of fun. The rule quandries were just a bit odd while playing. Chris was an awesome dude though and we had some nail biter moments in an otherwise obvious outcome game.

I did not have any rules issues in any of my games and I went 3-1 on the first day. The eldar guy I played in the third round was a little dry but still a good guy. I do agree though that when you hit the top tourney round players you can see some pretty interesting and frustrating stuff. I stopped going to Adepticon because two years straight I saw the judges make calls that showed preference to friends then make the opposite call later in the event when their friend was not in question. Before the Crystal Brush staff took over I saw the same issue with the paint contests too so I decided to spend my money elsewhere. I still think NOVA is a pretty good event and still think DABoyz is a good event (I just don't have an army that fits the rules heh). Battle for Salvation is pretty good too.

When I went to BFS in 2013, I found that favoritism and stuff rampant. It is why I will probably never go back. The judges helping friends, then reversing rulings when it doesn't benefit them, etc.
