I've decided to start rebasing my ogres. I want to use cork board and figured I'd ask if anyone knows a cheap place to get it. Figure something like home depot could be cheaper than a hobby store.
Any advice?

Hobby lobby, michaels, and Joann's usually have online coupons for 40-50% off single items. That's where I've gotten my cork and I have 4 different particle sizes that I mix for different base sizes and effects.

Like A.a.ron said, I get mine at michaels. You can get a 4 pack of 1ft x 1ft squares for cheap.

Michael's it is, I guess. I checked the website and they have a 50% coupon. I think it says they can scan my phone. Don't even need to print it out, crazy if true.

True that's what we do. They can scan a bar code from a smart phone.

Yeah, get on their email list. They send coupons all the time. I've saved a lot of money buying hobby related supplies there. I even picked up a padded shadow box to roll dice in for $6 after using coupons/discounts.

Don't know what to do with this project now. I emailed GW about what bases to put my ogres on so that they match the new stuff I buy once they rebox. I got a "whatever you and your friends feel works" response. I don't get why they would keep it secret. I don't want to do this twice.
I did one hell of a response to the "did this help" link included in the email. Wonder if anything will come of it.

Ikea has super cheap cork jar tops. They are great since they are not in sheet form and can get that really cool boulder feel.
If not AC moore or michaels, office max/ depot has cork too.

Craft stores are generally the way to go. Try and stay away from the rolled sheets though. You may get alot of it but is a pain the ass to flaten especially on larger surfaces.

So, I'm thinking of starting this project. I tried GW twice to find out what size bases ogres would be on and got nowhere. Since ogres are on 40mm square, I'm going to put them on 40mm round. No I just need to find a cheap place to get fifty 40mm bases.

you should be fine with 40mm, and remember, as per the rules, base size is meaningless. So you can't "go wrong" with the size you choose.

Kind of. Most tournaments and even the two kings escalation league measure to bases. I know me, when they rebox the ogres with round bases, if I guessed wrong I'll not be able to stop myself from rebasing them.
