So on sunday after laying three awesome games to prep for da boyz, it has come to my attention that my list is not fun to play against, and also, putting 500 pts. in reserve is a big gamble.
In another strike of fate, my two flyers i was working have been saboteured ( clothing dye spilled all over the box they were in) So I've started a new list and started painting a new models to fill the gap. So, what are your thoughts on this list?
I'm bummed that there will be no obj.sec, but the units can hold their own pretty good in most cases.
Nemesis strike force
• Librarian W/ lvl3. psyker, cuirass of sacrifice, melta bomb • Terminators x5 w/ daemonhammer, psycannon • Dreadknight w/ teleporter, psycannon, incinerator
Skitarii force org
• Vanguard x10 w/ x3 arc rifles, omnispex • Rangers x7 w/ plasma culverin • Rust stalkers x5 w/ omniscience mask, chordclaws • Infiltrators x5 w/ burst pistols, taser goads • Dune crawlers x2 w/ x2 icarus array • Dragoons x6
Assassin •Celuxsis assassin
The army has a lot of mobility and a bunch of debuff abilities. I like the ability of DSing my greyknights near my assassin to give him a crap ton of skull laser shots. Since the whole army can scout or deepstrike, the turn 1 pounce I can attain could be pretty brutal. I also want to make a tau gunline bs2 with my infiltrators hahaha.
Thoughts?

I like it im just worried about your lack of obj secure, do you really need a strike? You are going to be rolling santic you can gate

The whole concept of this army is to close the noose as quickly as possible. By having an entire army that scouts or deep strikes I can knock out key targets pretty fast. It also crowds the board very quickly and makes it difficult to make isolate units. But yeah, the lack of obj. sec hurts. If i allied in the GK i'd only have one Obj.sec. In that case I don't feel ike that be enough of an impact

But i feel like the trade off isn't worth it. Losing the ability to DS turn 1 + shoot and run for a turn isn't worth the trade off.

Why wasn't your list fun to play against?
Sucks you're changing last minute but glad you're doing something other than guard.

Not fun for me: • 3+ reserve to see if 500+ pts. show up. In two games i had my flyers come out piecemeal and ruined any chance of staging a proper offense. • Most opponents don't have a lot of answers for 3 flyers unless they are fielding multiple flyers / FMC. It makes for a bland game once all 3 flyers are buzzing around the board. If i get end of game, I can drop into hover and hold a lot of objectives ( all those flyers have hover). Makes for a bland drawn out game. • I hate running with ruses. It is a 365 pt. chunk of army id be happier without. they usually just get knocked out by LoW in a turn or two. ( stompa blew them both up in one shot. Multiple times a WK knocked out my squadron in two shots....) • Army lacks enough infantry units to play how i like. • Lack of transports makes it difficult for bullgryns to get around. Chimera and taurox transports are already in use. if i was rebuilding my list w/ points.

I see both sides now. Reserves are risky in GT's as you'll prolly be waiting until turn 4 at least one game. With time limits they way they are, that could cost you a game.
Three flyers can be good too, as most LoW's can't touch them.
Wait, you hate russes? Since when? You've had the two tank command squad in your lists since DaBoyz last year.
Sounds like you've outgrown your love of guard with the changing meta. I like the skitarii and you play them well. You'll have to be careful of attrition as your squads are on the small size.
Do the sicarans have that aura? What's the wording as your GK will be AoC (enemy models) you may have to be extra careful with your placements between scout, infiltrate, and deep strike. Also, won't the culexus cancel out your own GK blessings/maledictions?
Anyways, I'm happy you're bringing this instead of guard, I just hope the synergy works out with the nerf to battle brothers.

I still love playing with my IG. It's just for this event the list either blows armies off the board or gets blown to bits. Due to the format, my IG are having a hard time dealing with LoW's, and hate it one a single enemy unit can crush out double its point cost. Its a given that every eldar player will have a WK, and many others will be running with an imperial knight. My IG only has two units that can do considerable damage to a WK. Sadly, those units can get stomped/shot out very easily.
I refuse to use a knight since it can easily get one-shot.
I wish i could field more armored sentinels, or vet squads, or more transports, but the format is making it hard to utilize my collection effectively. hahaha.
