So i've been sent back to the drawing board to figure out how i'll deal with adepticon army lists. Here are some lists I've been building. What's your opinion?
1850 Lists
List 1:
Skitari detachment
Troop:
• Vanguard x8 w/ x2 arc rifles, omnispex
• Vanguard x8 w/ x2 arc rifles, omnispex
Elite:
• Infiltrators x5 w/ taser goads
• Infiltrators x5 w/ taser goads
Fast Attack:
• Dragoons x6
Heavy support:
• Dunecrawlers x2 w/ x2 icarus arrays
Assasin detachment
• Celuxsis Assassin
Raven Guard CAD
HQ:
• Captain w/ Artificer Armor, swift strike & murder, Jump pack, Meltabomb
Troop:
• Scouts x5 w/ combi grav + Storm ( heavy flamer)
• Scouts x5 w/ combi grav + Storm ( heavy flamer)
• Scouts x5 w/ combi grav + Storm ( heavy flamer)
Fast Attack:
• Drop Pod
• Drop Pod
This list can plop the celuxsis, infiltrators, vanguard, etc. in the drop pods, while the scouts have a flexibility of either infiltrating+ scout moving into position, or outflanking. It has the flexibility of either alpha striking or staggering my deployment. It'll be funny to have my raven guard character join some infiltrators turn one so they have stealth and shroud. I like the idea of jumping an army line with two units of infiltrators; making units nearby at -2 LD,WS,I,BS. hahaha
List 2:
List 1:
Skitari detachment
Troop:
• Vanguard x10 w/ x2 arc rifles, omnispex
• Vanguard x8 w/ x2 arc rifles, omnispex
Elite:
• Infiltrators x5 w/ taser goads
Fast Attack:
• Dragoons x6
Heavy support:
• Dunecrawlers x2 w/ x2 icarus arrays
Assasin detachment
• Celuxsis Assassin
Raven Guard Skyhammer annhiliation force
• Assualt marines x10 w/ meltabomb, x2 flamers
• Assault marines x10 w/ meltabomb, x2 flamers
• Devastators x10 w/ combi grav, x2 multi meltas, ammo cherub + drop pod
• Devastators x10 w/ combi grav, x2 multi meltas, ammo cherub + drop pod
This force has the potential of a pretty brutal alpha/beta strike. The ability to combat squad to up to 8 units could be very powerful when dealing with armies such as tau, who may only be able to intercept with 3-4 units. the ammo cherubs will be helpful when I really need those combi-grav to hit properly on the turn they land. If they land turn 1, they'll all have shroud. The assault marines have a very good chance of smashing into the enemy lines. This half of my army will help pin armies in place as the rest of my army rolls up the board.
Thoughts?
