That the shatter and frag shells cost another 5 points a model since book 6 came out, which makes me sad. Other than that, it looks kinda model light, and the units themselves are not very durable.
It will pack a punch, but I don't know how well it will be able to survive long enough. Also, 3 rapiers are overkill. Just like wyverns, two to a unit works, 3 to a unit just causes a bunch of wasted shots.

Tbh I'm considering dropping a Thuddgun, and swapping to either Hammer of Olympia and some full tac squads with Apocs, or Iron Fire for some hyper accurate artillery. Still really flexible on what I want to do with it.

To construct a 30k army, do you need multiple books or can you do it from a single source? I am trying to determine which book I need for the Word Bearers - I intend to buy it next week.
From a list standpoint, there are a lot of toys, but I wish there were more marines in the army. The body count seems aweful low. Can you explain how you envision the army working?

On paper: Use a stupid ammount of Barrage weapons so no one can hurt me from my cozy fortress on my table half, Rhino Vets outflank and show something their meltaguns In Pratice: Someone like Garner infiltrates 4 Rhinos, don't have enough bodies to absorb 1 billion bolter sounds, back line crushed.

I feel like that was ultra targeted... I'm hurt...
Relying on six wounds of t4 2+ armour to tank for the havocs is only so reliable. You have almost no mobility in the army outside of the vet squads, who will just get decimated as 5 Marines in a Rhino just don't make their points back. With single meltaguns, they don't really have power to do anything except a very off chance of killing a vehicle...

Garner is a jerk like that.
Barrage just ain't what it used to be. When I think Legion Armies, I think a ton of MEQ bodies.
