Squadrons are a single choice. So a single squadron of 3 hellhounds is okay. 3 separate choices of hellhounds is not okay.
In terms of trukks, can you take them as a FA as squadrons? If yes, cool
One caveat - depending on how B&W want to handle transports, there may be slight differences in what we're talking about.

Sisters are fine. With troops you cannot take duplicates of units until you take at least one of each troop choice. For example, if i were running chaos marines i could not take a 2nd squad of marines until i filled myoriginal requirements of 1 squad of marines and 1 squad of cultists, since those aremy two troop choices. Since sisters have only 1 troop choice theycan keep taking their main troop choice over and over until they reach 6 units.

I think it's also worth noting that even tho sisters can take multiple of the same troops, the dedicated transports are still 0-1 so only 1 immolator even if you have 6 squads.

120 footslogging sisters with priests is nothing to laugh at! That's a lot of cheap, fearless, 3+ armour.

Wouldn't priests be 0-1?

True, but if I remember correctly, Jacobus gives zealot to everyone within 6" of him (I don't have the codex with me at the moment) and as long as one person has it, they all have it.
EDIT: His banner gives counterattack and fearless to everything in 12". So still scary.

Quick question on HQs in a highlander format. Are special characters and their generic equivalents different for 0-1? Example being taking Farsight and a regular commander. Is that legal?

I am ruling that legal. it is 2 separate selections in the codex with very seperate rules.

So if i run csm with a dark apostle, daemon allies with a herald can i also use Belakor as a 3rd HQ choice or would he have to go in the csm or daemon hq slot?

I actually shot from the hip on that one garner. We are running 0-1 counting the characters. Example Pedro Kantor is a chapter master. Only one per list. Belakor is a daemon prime only one. Murderfang is a dreadnought only one etc etc
