Ah, okay. Good that it's fixed. Next month, you'll all get to stare down my Robots.

I can not wait to see them. Since I won the Blood Brother award at the brawl last year I have to help Craig run it this year. That might mean I'm helping next month. If I do, I'm totally going to sit and watch a game. I'm so excited to see how that army works in real life. I have the books and I have a hard time putting it all together in my mind it's just so off the norm. I hope to some day have Mechanicum allies for my World Eaters.

I'm looking forward to seeing them as well. However, i feel it's necessary to bring up the point the since you are playing a FW army it is imperative that you bring a detailed army list for each of your opponents as well as the actual book with the rules for that army. You saw how much confusion we had this past weekend when all of your rules and lists are on your phone. A) it's hard enough with GW releasing rules in multiple formats and such a fast rate that not everyone has access to all of the rules like they did 3-4 years ago. B) it wastes more time trying to validate the lists and rules on a small phone when playing a timed match. C) just about any event is going to require that you hand in a list prior to playing. I know millennium has been lax on that in the past because we are pretty tight group but believe me, go to a event in syracuse or buffalo or any major gt and they are going to want to see a fully itemized list with points that they check during the event. D) its just a common curtousy to the rest of us. Pretty much everyone else at a millennium event has a hard copy of a list and their rules on hand at each event This isn't meant to be a dig at you or that we don't trust your lists or understanding of the rules. I know everyone enjoys you being there each month and likes your armies but you just need to take the extra steps to be that more prepared when attending an event, you cheesy git.

personally, as soon as I get home from a Millenium event, I have an army list for the next month before I go to bed that night.
When I use my 30k, I print my list and have a section at the bottom for my opponent. It's helpful to them. I feel too that the attitude toward the 30k lists are due to lack of the knowledge. If we don't educate our opponents, it's on us that people are afraid/don't like it. here's a copy of what I did on a 1500 point list:
New Rules Graviton Gun – 18” AP4 blast- Haywire, Strength Test, Graviton Pulse (stays 1 turn, diff+dang terrain)
Heavy Conversion Beamer – up to 18” S6 AP- Heavy, Large Blast 18”- 42” S8 AP4- Heavy, Large Blast 42” – 72” S10 AP1- Heavy, Large Blast Legion Astartes – may always regroup, regardless of casualties (NOTE- no “And they shall know no fear”)
World Eaters Legion Tactics Incarnate Violence – Characters +1 WS in challenge, once a unit destroys/breaks an opponent in HTH they gain Furious Charge
Blood Madness – Unit has Rage, must always sweeping advance, cannot go to ground or voluntarily fail a morale check, must consolidate towards closest unit that it can harm

Battle Forged means basically your normal army lists are allowed( 1-2 HQ 2-6 Troops 0-3 Elites 0-3 Fast attack --3 Heavy Support) and escalation is the rules for super heavy's(APOC for older players) normally it will say allowed or not meaning you cant use the Escaltion rule book or the units in it.

How do you follow the force organization chart if all units are 0-1? Or is there no force chart and you just goto a set amount of points with the 0-1 limit?

You still follow the force org chart, just you can't have more than one of each choice in the codex. A special character, such as Yarrick, would count as your 0-1 Lord Commissar.

This might be an issue with our local area not knowing highlander...

The best way to think about it, is REALLY weird Nid Space Marine combo. You have MC's that can smack as hard as Carnifexes, while maintaining Synapse. You also have the ability to make an HQ (for 400 points) that can suplex primarchs really easily.

Now, does that include squadrons? As in, I can have 1 Trukk as a Fast Attack, but not 3 sharing the same group? Also, doesn't that mean, SoB is an illegal army, as they only have 1 troop selection?

Generally, there is an exception when it comes to troops. Once you utilize all of your troop choices, you can take additional ones of the same entry. In the case of SoB's, you only have 1 option, so you can take multiples. In the case of Necrons, you have to take a squad of Immortals and a squad of warriors to start off with. Nids probably have the most diverse selection. You probably won't see any troop duplication because they have so many to choose from. That make sense?
