I tend not to debate the rules until they come out.

Knowing that GW will probably never FaQ anything, I hope GT's FAQ it as something like:
• All units can utilize the buffs, but lose them as soon as they target another unit (i.e.: target lock) If a whole army wants to shoot at a single unit, by all means, pleased so. Games shouldn't revolve around army vs. deathstar. I welcome things like this, not to mention they lose obj.sec. Since units can only use this in the shooting phase, it may hamper their desire to intercept units too. Im definitely cool with that.

Not a problem for DaBoyz GT this year, came out too late, right?

Yeah, too late.
What I cannot believe is that Reece said that. It seems very unlike him to try and saying something isn't a thing that is pretty explicit in saying such things work like that.

Lets not argue BoLS rumor rules before the entire codex is released with needed context.

I have the new codex already. that is the way it is worded.
It was obviously not intended for all special rules to be shared though, as they would have went into that detail. But this is par for the course.

I tend not to debate the rules until they come out. But they have. Black Library cocked up, and everyone that pre-ordered (like me), could download it a week before release.

I would absolutly say that ALL special rules would be allowed. " resolving their shots as if they were a single unit ", as if they were a single unit is the big thing here. Don't some special rules (Tank Hunter, Monster Hunter, Shrouded) get transferred to a unit if a IC is part of a unit?

What about Fire blade and eternal abilities? Could they not also be granted to a single unit as part of a combined shot and than granted to units all over the board that shoot together?

USR say something along the lines as long as one model in the unit has the special rule the unit gets it.
Question then, if i pin one of the units you want to fire with or blind one of those units would all 3 units become pinned or blind?

Or if oof the units is fearless and then the its shoot together does the one pinned unit become unpinned and act as normal? Or if the Bufmmander is really a MC if he shoots with a unit that has gone to ground or pinned do they again act as normal after the shooting because MC can not be pinned.
all I can do is shake my head, I would say no only the units with the special rules benefit from those special rules (ie Buffcommanders)
