well luckily Gladius and Knights were illegal last year. If either become legal next year, I'll have to go back to the drawing board.
My tau MSU draft isn't nearly as MSU as that marine list, and 5 marines have a lot more utility than 5 fire warriors. I really wanna try it, my gut tells me I'll be a better MSU player than death star player

I actually think those two mechanics have the biggest effect on the meta. This year's format was the best ever IMO as it banned stomp-ers, limited D weapon spam with highlander format, and prevented the most abusive deathstars by nerfing the ally matrix. If any of those aspects are removed next year, the meta will quickly change and people will figure out how to exploit the new allowances.

Instead of arguing the point i will just say i disagree with your format opinion and it only helped your army. I hope next year its open format take what ever you want so everyone can play with what ever they want.

I'll disagree with your opinion on "how it should be". The rule says "resolve as if they were a single unit". If you don't include the effects of CnC, MSSS, and PENchip, you haven't resolved as if they were a single unit, and broken RAW. The ITC results were different by 25 votes out of 900 participants? That's not a majority, it's a statistical draw when accounting for margin of error in polling. Plus, it's obvious plenty of people vote for the purpose of hamstringing Tau when they feel they're powerful enough. Either way I'll support the brawl's final ruling and format. If the format favors battle brothers again, or includes superheavies, I don't have to play tau. I could easily paint a double Gladius in 7 months anyways ?

Why did you quote how it should be?
"As if a single unit" not "As a single unit" i really dont wanna get back into if they all joined one unit argument and the OP it would cause. Majority is a majority though, and its not apparent that people are trying to hamstring anyone. Do you think 400 people out of 900 play tau?
If they keep the pts level where its at and you do Gladius your gonna need alot of play testing and $$$ and alot of models to paint. Why no go back to deamons with 3 deamons and some footslogers

I was being fecetious. I hate vanilla marines and wouldn't spend money on them. If the brawl format looks like my tau won't have a chance, I would go back to daemons. Big units of hounds or drones with heralds are probably one of the few ways to multi assault those Gladius units and overcome the MSU advantage.
