Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I've never played in a AoS event so is it pretty much anything goes as long as you remain under the cap points? Here's what I put together based upon what models I own. So would this be valid? Warriors of Chaos Heros ------ Be'lakor - 3 Exalted hero w/banner - 1 Nurgle Sorcerer - 1 Chaos Lord - 1 Chaos Sorcerer - 1 Units ------ Gorebeast Chariot - 1.5 5 Chaos Knights - 2 Warshrine - 3 1 spawn - .5 1 spawn - .5 5 hounds - .5 5 hounds - .5 10 WoC - 1 10 WoC - 1 3 Chaos ogres - 1 15 Mauraders - 1 15 Maurader - 1 Monsters -------- Giant - 2.5 Daemons of Chaos Heros ------ Daemon of Nurgle - 2 Units ----- 3 Flamers of Tzeentch - 2 Monsters ----- Soul Grinder - 2.5 Total points = 29.5 For summoning I have: Blood Thirster 10 Plague Bearers 10 Bloodletters 10 Daemonettes 10 Pink Horrors 3 Flamers Your list is legal in terms of composition, but you are actually sitting on 35.5 pts.
10 WoC- .5pts. 1pt. (.5 for 5 guys) 15 Marauders- 1pt. 3pts. (1 for 5 guys)
When composing a list using Warscroll Builder, there is a plus/minus function that allows you to change the size of the unit. These escalate in set numbers, but the tournament rules allow you to modify these if needed.

So does anyone know if the "unending legion" command ability for the chaos lord counts as summoning? It's not a spell but you do have to roll for it. Summoning spells will have a phrase like: "Summon Pink Horrors." These will most likely be found on the page of the thing you are trying to summon and not on the summoner. Sorry for the confusion on this point. The example in the tournament rules was actually a poor example as the Dryads brought into play by a Branchwraith do not count as a summoned unit as "Roused to Wrath" is not a "summoning" spell. In other words, "unending legion" is not a summoning spell. The units brought into play will not be counted as summoned units and could potentially hold objective that summoned units would be ineligible to do so.

I'm thinking of starting Brettonians for AoS, is doing all mounted a good idea? I don't want to paint a gorillion peasants, but at the same time, love their lore and models. They are definitely worth consideration, and their lists have serious benefits (re-rolling battleshock!).
They would also be good paired with Alarielle (high elves) - she fits into the lore as the embodiment of the Lady of the Lake. Old lore suggests that they unknowingly worshipped Isha, goddess of the Wood Elves, which Alarielle now embodies. You could even use the Wood Elf Spellweaver model to give her that Woodland/Bretonian goddess feel. Just be sure to bring a goblet or grail if you have Grail Knights... For the Lady!

And trust me with bretonians, if you don't scream it out, it won't help you. At Daboyz GT, my opponent did it half heartedly and his rerolls sucked. Karma

Would a pair of coconut shells and enough Monty Python quotes suffice?

Ok, I went to scrollbuilder and I see where I messed up with the Warriors of Chaos. It shows 2pts for 10 models as you indicated. However, when I go to add Marauders it adds a block of 15 models for 1 pt. So is the event modifying the rules to make marauders 1pt for 5 models or is scrollbuilder wrong?

I thought that you were referring to the Marauder Horsemen (which I use more frequently) and not the Marauders of Chaos. You were correct in the point cost of 1pt. for 15 guys.

When did wars roll change heir points? When I played marauders last time they were 10 for 1 point. Now they are 15 for 1 point? What else has changed?

You have to look at the link of the points. It's a living document, they indicate on the lists the changes from the last version. I think the ogres list had 4 changes

And of course three ogres for one point or fifteen marauders for one point is comparable to ten skeletons for one point. Seems a little unfair if you ask me. Ten skeletons is not ever gonna compete against three ogres for the one point cost.

While the point systems may not be perfect (even GW can't get that right for their own games) it's a good attempt by the community to try and balance the game. Plus I don't think you are taking into account that you can summon skeletons pretty easily (5+ base casting cost) so bringing on more skeletons shouldn't be an issue while ogres are pretty much screwed once they start dropping.

Especially when Ogres run or charge through difficult terrain and models die on a 1. Lost a mournfang one game.
