One clarification: "Prizes based on Scores Only", meaning on battle points only? Or does this include other types of scores?

Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I've never played in a AoS event so is it pretty much anything goes as long as you remain under the cap points? Here's what I put together based upon what models I own. So would this be valid?
Warriors of Chaos
Heros ------ Be'lakor - 3 Exalted hero w/banner - 1 Nurgle Sorcerer - 1 Chaos Lord - 1 Chaos Sorcerer - 1
Units ------ Gorebeast Chariot - 1.5 5 Chaos Knights - 2 Warshrine - 3 1 spawn - .5 1 spawn - .5 5 hounds - .5 5 hounds - .5 10 WoC - 1 10 WoC - 1 3 Chaos ogres - 1 15 Mauraders - 1 15 Maurader - 1 Monsters -------- Giant - 2.5
Daemons of Chaos
Heros ------ Daemon of Nurgle - 2
Units ----- 3 Flamers of Tzeentch - 2
Monsters ----- Soul Grinder - 2.5
Total points = 29.5
For summoning I have:
Blood Thirster 10 Plague Bearers 10 Bloodletters 10 Daemonettes 10 Pink Horrors 3 Flamers

I'm thinking of starting Brettonians for AoS, is doing all mounted a good idea? I don't want to paint a gorillion peasants, but at the same time, love their lore and models.

Sounds like a good idea Nedly, plus you don't have to go exclusively brettonian. You can start there and add anything from the forces of order (or other orders) if you want. The only thing that is unknown is will GW revamp the brettonian line or continue using the old line of minis.

Yeah, but it is also an escalation tournament, so that works for a final list.

Must be nice with all those one point and half point units to make an escalation list. It was like doing calculus last night with ogres, but I got a list too

Yeah, but it is also an escalation tournament, so that works for a final list. I understand that part, I broke down that list into parts for each round. I just wanted to mirror Nogle's question about the amount of monsters in a list. I do have other units I could swap around, I just wanted to see what's allowed or not.

So does anyone know if the "unending legion" command ability for the chaos lord counts as summoning? It's not a spell but you do have to roll for it.

(In future tournaments we would like to include painting scores, etc. but at this time we have a large number of players that would not be able to participate with restrictions.)

Didn't notice any restrictions on monsters or war machines or anything. There will not be any restrictions on any aspect of army composition other than the alignment (minimum of 75% of one, max of 25% of any other alignment - Order/Death/Destruction/Chaos) and summoning. These restrictions can be found within the document posted above. While it may seem scandalous to take this position, bringing all monsters or all war machines doesn't guarantee a win. Monsters tend to suffer when facing the endless tides of hoard or high summoning armies. War machines also have weaknesses contingent on the army.
