Jumping on Andy's idea of a WIP thread.
This is my spin on a nurgle army. Their theme is a force that follows conflict and their soldiers consume the dead.
The color scheme for the marines will be white with brown heads to represent maggots. The non-marine units will incorporate more greens and purples for more traditional corrupt, diseased, and bruised flesh. Instead of traditionally diseased and bloated marines, these will be less corrupted with more emphasis on weathering.
My Typhus (scibor rotten lord) still WIP. Airbrushed and oil washed. I painted the trim by hand and exposed guts. Still needs work on the weapon and weathering.
My zombie test model. I have 30 based and airbrushed awaiting washes and detailing. I've added some red and purple splotching on his flesh since last time I shot him. The base is final, but I really want Army Builder tufts. The GW ones are so thin. If anyone can find them for sale in the US, LMK. My internet skills are weak.
Spawn #1 WIP. Airbrushed and washed, nothing else yet. Prolly going to stay this way until I get the rest of the army assembled and airbrushed. Just wanted to push through a test model to help me envision the entire unit.
Spawn #2 WIP. Same steps as #1, actually batched them together. Makes more sense when airbrushing to do as many models as possible.
Possessed and plague champion. These are weathered and nearly complete. Going to try some pigment powders to rust them up a bit more.
Group shot of all my test models. I like to jump around from unit to unit so I don't burn out on similar models (scars from my nid painting days). Plus, I wanted to see what all the colors would look like together. I want it to be recognizable as a nurgle army, but more colorful and different than the standard green force.
