Hehe. Already volunteered to basecoat Gerry's daemons. If you want to pass me assembled models, paints you want used, and cover the cost of primer ill do a unit or two. Maybe I could trade services for some blinky lights. I gotta make your terrain after this weekend's event too.

Decided to take a break from big boring batches and indulge in some detailing work. I really love detailing now and need to do it to maintain a vision of what finalized models should look like. Sometimes I lose perspective after airbrushing too much. Here's the farseer I worked on tonight. Not 100% finished but getting close.

Looking real good. Just a thought... Would you consider painting the face plate a different color to break up the overall orange from the waist up? Maybe painting it white like you did the wraithbone on the chest, arms, and helmet?
The highlighting and gems look fantastic!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I may still change the face but painting white over orange will be a serious PITA.

Maybe even black would distinguish it and make it bounce out more. It looks great as it is IMO but a different color would break up the orange. Maybe if you have a dummy model you can use to see if white or black looks better. I think white is a better color over all for something like this but if you like I think black would help separate it better since the other details and insignia is already white. Or just leave it as is To be honest when I first saw you doing this thread about painting your Eldar with this paint scheme I was like wow this guy wants to mass produce painted models. Now though I see its an awesome paint scheme and with the details added it definitely looks amazing keep up the good work.

Not much accomplished this week as I got sidetracked making some terrain. I did get to some spirit stones on the big guy tho. Man... He's going to take a while to finish. It does a good job showing how a little line work and some contrasting details can make an airbrushed basecoat shine.

Looks awesome - the cool blues on the gems really provide a nice contrast with the yellow/orange/red palette too. The existence of these guys make me really reconsider playing Soul Grinders at all this year.

Thanks guys.
@ calypso - yeah wraithknights are no joke. Seems like plenty of eldar players are shrugging off the $ cost and playing with them also. The Internet naysayers are surprising considering the effect even one can have on a game. Wraithkights offer a solution to several problem units while creating problems for opponents at the same time.
I'm pretty excited about the army now that the format is finalized and I won't have to make any changes. I should get the list up sooner or later.

Nice work! I'll have to start a thread for my riptide and broadsides that I am painting up for the GT. Still not sure if I want to run an all Tau list or a Tau/Eldar list for the GT.
I'm interested to see what the Space Marine codex will bring as a counter to units like the Wraith Knight and Riptide. Sounds like Sternguard with poisoned shots and Grav guns will be the biggest threat but at least the Riptide has the potential to generate a invulnerable save each turn and broadsides can take shield drones to soak up hits.

Sounds like Sternguard with poisoned shots and Grav guns will be the biggest threat but at least the Riptide has the potential to generate a invulnerable save each turn and broadsides can take shield drones to soak up hits. Looks like bikers with grav rifles will be bad news for the new MC's as they wound against the armor save and make toughness redundant. Bikes make them relentless so they can move 12" and fire the max salvo at full range. Also devestator centurions with lascannons + missiles will hurt. Thunderfire cannons are barrage (4) now so they can snipe out ethereals and farseers with str6 shots to ID them. Now that Calypso's terrain is done and the rest of my army is assembled and primed, I'm able to get back to painting. I base coated my avengers last night. Black and purple first. Then red. Then orange. It took about 45min to do these guys this far with diluting paint, painting, and cleaning the airbrush. I've also been working on my spirit seer this week. He's actually a lot further along now with some highlighting and runes painted on his armor, just haven't thought to snap a pic yet. Wife's working late tonight and tomorrow so I should get the wave serpent and artillery airbrushed so the whole army will have color on it for Saturday's tournament.

Last nights efforts. Primed and ready to go. A pass with orange. And red. And purple. And black. Cleaned up and called it quits about here so I can start writing my reference sheet for the tourney.

Do work! Black primed bases. One pass with black+grey mix. Pure grey from the same direction with a smaller radius. And once over with grey+white in a very small central spot. Windshields. Once over with blue. And black. Infantry based. Boarded up the whole thing before packing it up for tomorrow.
