Truth.
Tho for daboyz I'm toying with the idea of a max kroot unit. 20 kroot with shaper, 10 hounds, 3 krootox and sniper rounds. With buffmander for reroll misses, monster hunter, tank hunter, and ignore cover that unit becomes respectable.
Would be fun to paint too.

That weathering is really on point, but I'd do a edge of Chainmail on the very tips of the worn down metal, as it'd have the hardest damage. But, the way you're doing it is fantastic.

I am envious of your work ethic. I've had my Rough Riders on my bench for months. The brawl is all that's getting me to finish them. The scheme for your Tau is looking nice. Really like that yellow you have chosen.

Thanks Konrad. Feels good to get a shout out for my work ethic. I'm my own biggest critic and I'm pretty hard on myself for not finishing models, or not putting in 3hrs painting every single night. First test model was painted on 6/4/15, so just under 3 months for this project, including most assembly as I only had 1 broadside, 1 piranha, and the 10 kroot assembled prior to 6/4. Here's my final group shot. Not 100% done, but I should get another 2hr session tonight between packing and prepping. See y'all tomorrow~

I wish, but nope. Both pilots are always visible unless you convert it heavily. Luckily, the entire front armor plate is removable so access to the cockpit and pilot/gunner is easy. I haven't glued everything together yet either and am painting the model in about 20 pieces to assemble later. To limit overspray and transition colors easier.

I hear you on painting in pieces. I put together a Lord of skulls, almost 30 pieces to paint with the weapon swap outs

Garner came over for a hobby jam session last night. Started building him a new display board and finished airbrushing 'Surge. Back to a traditional brush for hilighting, weathering.

What's your recipe for those lenses? They're really on point.
